In the School of Mediators of the International Human Rights Center, you can complete a training course for professional mediators and obtain a new modern complementary profession. For mediators wishing to gain a specialization, a “Specialized Mediation Course” is offered. For mediators wishing to teach mediation, a “Trainer-Mediator Training Course” is conducted.

 


“General Mediation Course” for the Training of Professional Mediators

     

The mediation training course is intended for the internal mediation services of companies, management personnel, and employees whose activities are related to the resolution, prevention, and forecasting of disputes, conflicts, and disagreements (managers, administrators, HR personnel, customer service departments, etc.), as well as for individuals wishing to engage in mediation activities for dispute and conflict resolution.

 

This course has been developed in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Mediation” and the Order of the Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 14, 2023, No. 244-НҚ “On Approval of the Rules for Training under the Mediator Preparation Program.”

The duration of the course is 72 academic hours or 7 days.

Classes are held daily from 09:00 to 18:00 with coffee breaks (at 11:15 and 16:15) and a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00.

Seminar Format:

1) Theoretical knowledge with active discussion and open debate;

2) Review and discussion of real-life examples;

3) Practical sessions with role-playing exercises to develop dispute and conflict resolution skills in social and labor relations through the application of mediation tools;

4) Assessment of participants’ negotiation skills and final examination through written and oral testing, as well as conducting a mediation session.

The training is supported by audio and video materials.

Before the beginning of the course, participants must provide the following documents:

- Identity card/passport;

- Higher education diploma;

- Certificate of no criminal record.

Upon successful completion of the course and passing the final examination, participants receive the profession and certificate of mediator, a methodological handbook containing a summary of the course, sample documents, and mediation-related legal acts, as well as post-training consultations. In addition, free one-year membership in the Mediation Center of the International Human Rights Center Public Association is offered for the practical implementation of mediation activities.
