International Internship of Mediators in the USA

Mediators and lawyers of the International Human Rights Center took part in the international educational internship “The System of Organization of the Institutions of the Bar, Notary, and Mediation: Experience and Current State in the USA”, organized by the International Center for Educational Technologies (ICET, Prague) in cooperation with the Public Association “International Human Rights Center.”

The internship took place from October 18 to October 26, 2025, in New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. Participants studied the organization of the bar, notary services, and mediation in the United States, and carried out working visits to the Bar Association and the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution in New York, the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Civil Rights Committee, the Pro Bono Center of the District of Columbia, and the National Notary Association of the USA.

The inviting organization for the educational internship was Community Mediation Services. During the visit to Community Mediation Services, the Kazakh delegation presented the activities of the International Human Rights Center in the field of mediation. On behalf of the Center, Saule Serikovna Kazakeeva, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Professor, and Notary, delivered a presentation about the organization. In her speech, she highlighted the importance of international cooperation in the development of legal culture and the institution of mediation, as well as the significance of exchanging experience among professional communities of different countries.

Representatives of the International Human Rights Center expressed their sincere gratitude to the host organization, Community Mediation Services, for the warm welcome and high level of internship organization. As a token of appreciation, the Kazakh delegation presented commemorative gifts to Community Mediation Services, symbolizing professional cooperation and mutual respect.

Participants also received personalized international certificates confirming their participation in the educational program and internship in the United States.
