The Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan has developed a draft law "on amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the development of institutions for out-of-court and pre-trial dispute settlement".  Zhandilda Zhakupov, head of the RPA ICPR, joined the working group of the Senate, which also included judges, mediators, representatives of the chamber of bailiffs and notaries. Zhakupov prepared a package of proposals to the draft law on fixing the state body in the field of mediation, introducing a unified organization of mediators, disciplinary liability of mediators, introducing mandatory information conversations with the mediator, on online mediation, and many others. Many of Zhakupov's proposals were accepted and reflected in the bill. To date, the draft act has been approved by the working group and sent to the Government.
