Ethnomediator in Kazakhstan

Zhandilda Zhakupova, Vice-President of the Turkish Mediation Association and President of the Mediation Council of Kazakhstan, was awarded for mediation services and "Contribution to the social world."
The 30th Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Commemorative Medal in Honor of the Anniversary became the fourth state award presented by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the head of the organization of mediators in Kazakhstan and mediator Dzhandilda Azhigalievich Dzhakupov.
This award is the 30th award of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan (from now on — KHA). The anniversary was presented and presented by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the President of the KHA, Mr. Kassym-Jomart Kemelovich Tokayev.
The Assembly of People of Kazakhstan was established on March 1, 1995 by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The main goal of the Institute is to implement state policy in the field of ethnic relations in order to achieve stability and harmony between the various ethnic groups living in the country.
Since the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Mediation" in 2011, the CA has provided great support to the development of this institution. Zira in Kazakhstan, 20. Zhandilda Zhakupova is the manager of ethno-mediation within the KHA, and also heads the chairmanship of the Mediation Council of Almaty, the largest metropolis in Kazakhstan.
To date, the number of mediation procedures conducted by Yakupov personally has exceeded 2,300, and more than 40% of them cover disputes between people of different national origins. These include criminal cases.
In addition, Zhandilda Azhigalievich is the head of the Center for Mediation of Civil Society "International Center for Human Rights" (currently — UIC), which was established in 1997 on nine initiatives related to the KHA to provide legal support to our people.
After the adoption of the law "On Mediation", various amendments were made to the charter of the UIHC, thus, the register of mediators offering mediation services and training of mediators was officially established.
Currently, more than 800 professional mediators are registered under the leadership of Zhakupov, working in 10 branches in all regions of Kazakhstan.
By the end of 2024, UIHC mediators conducted mediation procedures for a total of more than 16 thousand discrepancies and disputes. The total financial cost of these discrepancies was fixed at 18.070.140,611 tenge.
It is very gratifying that Zhandilda Zhakupov's contribution to the development of ethno-mediation and the strengthening of social harmony in the country was highly appreciated by the President of Kazakhstan and President of the KHA Kassym-Jomart Kemelovich Tokayev.

During the meeting, the speakers spoke about the work of the APK, the role of ethno-cultural associations in society, the peculiarities of ethnomediation in interethnic relations, activity and socio-legal assistance to young people. Opinions were exchanged with the students and important questions were answered. This meeting was an important lesson for the younger generation and once again emphasized the importance of the ongoing work for the sake of unity and cooperation of our country.
